According to Wikipedia, if a piece of music is marked as Rubato, it means that you are to interpret the timing with "free adjustment of tempo for expressive purposes". With two smiley themes with matching emotions, Rubato lets choose the tempo you would like. By creating two sets of smilies instead of one, they define each other by the differences between them.
